This page documents the 0.4 release candidates of @nexusdi/core. The newest on npm is 0.4.0-rc.1. The documentation for 0.3.2, the current release, is at nexus.js.org. Try the release candidate.
0.3 Support Policy
With the release of NexusDI 0.4, the focus of the maintainers shifts to the new static-validation architecture. However, we provide a transition period for users who cannot immediately upgrade. The maintainers set the fix scope and the end date. RELEASING.md describes the branch and dist-tag steps that publish each fix.
Support During the RC Phase
Until 0.4.0 final is released, the latest tag on npm continues to point to the 0.3.x line. Any critical fixes for 0.3 during this period are released as patches under the latest tag. For @nexusdi/core, npm install @nexusdi/core installs 0.3. The 0.4 release candidates publish under the next dist-tag (Trying the 0.4 Release Candidate). The patches are released from main.
Support After 0.4.0 Final
Once 0.4.0 is officially released, the 0.3 line moves to a dedicated maintenance branch. latest moves to 0.4.0, and the branch is 0.3.x. Each 0.3 patch publishes under the release-0.3 dist-tag, and latest stays on 0.4.
- Fix Scope: The 0.3 branch receives fixes only for security vulnerabilities and critical defects that cause the program to crash or lose data.
- Installation: You can install the newest 0.3 patch using the
release-0.3dist-tag:npm install @nexusdi/core@release-0.3
End of Life (EOL)
Support for the 0.3 line ends six months after the release of 0.4.0 final, or when 0.5.0 is released, whichever is later.
After this date, the 0.3 line receives no further updates. The 0.3 documentation stays at /v0.3/ for the same period. We strongly recommend upgrading to 0.4 before this deadline, because 0.3 receives no fixes after it.
When 0.4.0 final is released, this page names the date of 0.4.0 final and the date six months later. It also says whether 0.5.0 has been released.
